The Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra joined forces with the chiors of Ranelagh and Holt schools for a Cornish themed concert.

We were treated to a magnificent performance of Rachmaninov' 2nd Piano concerto by the talented Yulia Chaplina. We also heard the world premier of "St Michael's Mount" composd by the BSO's very own conductor Stephen Scotchmer with the combined forces of the Ranelagh and Holt school choirs.

The cornish theme continued with Bax's intricate Tintagel, and Arnold's Four Cornish Dances.

The concert was very well attended with over 800 people in the appreciative audience.
